Addie Roop
Assistant Coach

Addie Roop '15 is back for her second year as an assistant coach in 2016-2017.
She has previous coaching experience with the Potomac Elite Volleyball Club. Roop was the head coach of the U14 squad in 2014-15 after serving as an assisting in 2013-14.
Roop was a three-year starter of the Blazers' volleyball team from 2012-14. In 63 matches played, she tallied 271 kills, 90 service aces and 556 digs. She was also a summer camp assistant in 2013 and 2014. In the offseason, in addition to recruiting, she servs as a lead and assistant coach for the Blazer Summer Volleyball Camp series. 
In high school, she competed on three county champion squads at Francis Scott Key High School, culminating in the 2A state championship in 2009. She was twice named all-county as a libero. 

Erin Botker
Assistant Coach

Erin Botker is in her first year on the coaching staff at her alma mater. 
A May 2015 graduate of Hood, she earned her bachelor's degree in history after transferring from Frederick Community College. She earned an associate's degree at FCC in general studies. 
Botker played for the Blazers after transferring to Hood for the 2013 season. A standout in the classroom, she won a Tischar Scholar Award. She was a member of several honor societies: Phi Kappa Phi, Phi Alpha Theta and Chi Alpha Sigma. A Dean's List student, she graduated Magna Cum Laude. 
She works full-time as an admission counselor at Hood.
